Is this the same product that Micasa sells under the "Jeremy" model range? Same material, design, room layout and identical dimensions. But it would be significantly cheaper here. If it is the same product, where does the significant price difference come from?

Yes, it's the same. Is China goods... Micasa makes more margin. All the screwing involved in assembling is a bit tedious but otherwise a good product:)
