Product details

Coarse coral sand is ideal as a hardness-buffering filter medium and is used as a filling material in pond or aquarium filters as well as in calcium reactors. In finer grain sizes, the sand is often used as a substrate in Malawi or seawater tanks.

The high internal surface area with capillary effect of coral sand makes this filter medium one of the best and most efficient biofilter materials for medium and large pond filter systems. The resulting buffering effect ensures additional stability of the water values.

Coral sand consists of pure calcium carbonate with all natural trace elements.
