Mechanically acting filter media are primarily used for the removal of suspended particles.

Ceramic rings create turbulence in the filter basket due to their special shape and large surface area. This allows suspended particles to settle during their descent, and coarse dirt particles are removed from the water cycle.

This highly porous design offers more than double the colonization surface for bacteria compared to conventional ceramic rings of the same size. Additionally, they provide optimal conditions for the colonization of filter bacteria, thereby reducing nitrite spikes more effectively than traditional filter materials.

Due to their small size, ceramic rings can be used even in the smallest components of internal, external, and cascade filters.

1 package unit is suitable for approximately 1800 m³ of water and should be cleaned at regular intervals. Replacement is only necessary in case of significant mechanical damage.
