The Marella comes with a compatible MAXTRA+ filter cartridge. This reduces limescale as well as odor- and taste-disturbing substances such as chlorine. It also reliably reduces metals like lead and copper that may occur due to household plumbing. The tap water flows through the filter cartridge by gravity, which contains a mixture of ion exchange resin and activated carbon.

The result is soft, great-tasting water for pure enjoyment. At the same time, you protect your kitchen appliances like kettles and coffee machines from limescale buildup.

A new PerfectFit system with a valve ensures that the BRITA MAXTRA+ filter cartridge fits perfectly in the funnel, that all the water is reliably filtered, and that nothing bypasses the filter. The Marella features a "BRITA Memo" that indicates when the filter cartridge needs to be replaced. One filter cartridge lasts for 4 weeks or 100 liters.
