Hi, the spout is covered with metal (stainless steel?), definitely not plastic. There is a sieve in the container in front of the spout, the holder is made of plastic and the sieve itself is made of fabric. I have had the kettle for some time and am very happy with it. I hope I could help. LG

I apologise for the late reply. I was on holiday and had to take a look at the kettle first. Yes, the inside of the housing is completely made of stainless steel. It also has a black plastic part at the top of the spout and the handle. There are two small round plastic discs where the water level indicator starts and ends on the outside. I clean the kettle every week with vinegar - no problem. Furthermore, we are totally satisfied with this product and would choose it again.

Mine came with a European plug. I went to buy an adapter which galaxus refunded me for. They told me they would update the product description to mention this..(ahem..) and that they normally include an adapter with the delivery. Beyond this the kettle is great and we are happy.
