I received my machine with two blades, one serrated and one smooth. Both are extremely sharp. I am very happy with the machine. The only thing is that replacing the blades is a bit of a pain. The screw cannot be loosened with a screwdriver, but with a coin. The notch is not even in the centre of the axle, but slightly outside. A five-franc coin worked best for me.
