My various pairs of glasses with and without varifocal lenses have not been damaged so far. Unfortunately, the lenses are not mirror-like afterwards, but wet and have to be dried carefully, which can leave streaks if not treated properly.

The inside dimensions of the basket are: L 15 x W 8 x H 3.3 cm. The bar in the middle of the basket determines the height.
