The handles are made of smoked oak, featuring a flush brass rivet, and the blade is crafted from specially hardened steel: the Crafter series is a powerful homage to Wüsthof's two-century-long tradition of brass manufacturing. The ergonomic handle fits comfortably in the hand and is slightly curved downward at the end to prevent slipping. The sturdy handle scales are riveted with traditional brass rivets. The handle is made of water-resistant smoked oak, giving the knife a distinctive character with its unique grain and authentic logo. The tang extends the blade, providing additional stability to the knife.
