The Joyami tabletop cooker from Xiaomi has one burner and an output of 2100 watts. It is an induction type, i.e. only the lower part of the pan is heated and not the entire hob, which keeps the surrounding area cool. It uses less energy than other types of hob and cooking time is halved. For example, water boils in less than 90 seconds. Cleaning is very easy as the area around the utensil remains cold and spilt liquids do not heat up or stick to the surface. A prerequisite for this type of hob is that the cookware is suitable for induction hobs, i.e. made of stainless steel or cast iron, as we cannot use all types of cookware. Finally, if you have small children, this is considered the safest option.
A rotary switch is used to select the desired temperatures and settings.
