Vacuum mopping robot
Apparently you have to clean the cleaning cloth every time (says Youtube), correct? Then, a complicated question: I have the i7 with suction station under the stairs. I would like to replace it with this one. The existing space is 60cm by 100cm and 60cm high. In my experience, the hoover needs a certain amount of space to move out - does anyone know how many centimetres that is? (In my case it's 100 cm, there's no more space, then it has to go round the bend). If you, who already have the thing, imagine that you have to get down on your knees and crawl to the station every time to change the water, bag and cleaning cloth - would you still buy it? Last question: The door to the docking station only opens on the right, not the left, correct? Thank you very much for all your answers.
The door opens on the right, right.
1 metre (net) should be enough. In my case, it stands between the wall and the cooking island, approx. 80 cm, front edge of the docking station to the baseboard of the cooking island. Works well.
Hi Thomas
We are happy to have our say here :) Here are the dimensions of the station including the robot hoover;
Height 41.5cm / width 40.2cm / depth with door closed 42cm / depth with door open 66.3cm
The ideal placement ratios are 0.5m to the side and 1.5m to the front. This is our recommendation, although the application shows that it also works with less. However, if there are navigation problems, such as not finding the station correctly, the reason is often that the space is too narrow. Here it is certainly important that the robot is able to drive straight into the station "with a run-up".
Maintenance; you can have the robot vacuum only or vacuum and mop at the same time. So if you do not use the wet mopping function every time, it is not necessary to change the cloth every time. You can decide for yourself how often you change the cloth. The moisture level and the degree of soiling certainly play a role here. The wipe is reusable and can then be washed in the washing machine at up to 60 degrees.
The water tank in the station holds 3 litres and the dust bag compresses the dirt after each vacuuming so that you don't have to worry about it for weeks. How often you need to refill the water tank or replace the dust bag depends on various factors. Of course, your cleaning preferences play a major role here, how often you vacuum, how often you want to mop, what level of liquid you want to use and the conditions on site, such as the size of your home, etc., are all factors that make it difficult for us to give you an exact figure.
We hope we have been able to help you with this. If you have any further questions or uncertainties, you are welcome to contact us directly - depending on availability, you will also have the opportunity to test the device in advance. Hi Thomas, the answers of course depend heavily on the degree of soiling of the floor. We don't have to clean it every time. Maybe every 2 or 3 times. We have easy-care poured concrete, but with a dog ;) So YES.
If I remember correctly, the installation programme of the j9+ wanted 50cm left, 150cm from the front and 100cm from the right for the station (all seen from the front). Ours now has 15cm to the left, 100cm to the front and 100cm to the right. It seems to me that the right-hand side is particularly important, because it approaches from there. It makes the 100cm from the front without any problems.
We have to bend our knees to change the bins anyway ;) But the bins are also easy to reach from a distance of 1 metre and in our case that's 1-2 a month... that's fine. But we don't run it every day either. So YES.
Yes, it only opens correctly on the right, so the right is probably more important for everything.
