I can't say as I haven't tried it, but I can confirm that the grater is very sharp and grates the nutmeg very well, the only disadvantage is that it doesn't have a small container at the bottom to collect the leftovers.

I don't have either one or the other to hand at the moment, so I tried it with cloves: works without any problems. The knives are ultra-sharp. Maybe that will help you?

I've never tried that before. I think it's explicitly only for nutmeg.
