Do I understand correctly that if I buy one station for each floor and I can carry the S7 MaxV to each floor, it will then do the work there and empty itself? That way I wouldn't need 4 x S7 MaxV.

You only need 1x station and 1x S7 MaxV. Place the station on your "main floor" and the vacuum dust container is sufficient for all floors. Several floors can be defined in the app. You can save the money for 4 stations.
