i would say yes. so it is suitable. but it depends on how sensitive you are. we have it in the dining room, and most of the time we don't notice it. but sometimes it buzzes around and makes funny noises. but most of the time it doesn't. we haven't figured out what the reason is that it sometimes buzzes. it could be because it sometimes slips and is then positioned too close to the wall 😊

I have it in a lonely house in the forest, extremely quiet there. When I'm sitting next to it, I can hear a low whirring sound when it cools down. Far less loud than the crackling of the fire in the fireplace.
