Is that really silicone? I already have an older model, but it's made of plastic and very susceptible to limescale. Silicone would be great. But I doubt whether the article description is correct and silicone is right.

Perhaps there is some silicone in the plastic of the plastic shell. But it seems to be solid plastic. After 10 months, it already looks quite shabby and calcified. We have the anthracite-coloured version, so of course it's more visible. Nevertheless, we're quite happy with it.
