We bought this stand and I mounted it using double-sided adhesive tape and it still holds, even with things placed on top of it.
You need to degrease the plastic surface and your glass support. Apply a few strips of fairly thick double-sided tape of a brand that guarantees effectiveness. Then press down firmly and do not load for the first 24 hours.
