The Aco Sand Trap Channel Elastic effectively keeps displaced sand at bay and is ideal for use in long jump pits when the adjacent sports surfaces are made of synthetic material. The sand that inevitably gets displaced during jumping competitions is captured by the sand trap channels and kept away from the surrounding surface. Additionally, it protects the synthetic surface from abrasion and wear while maintaining water permeability. The formation of puddles is prevented, leading to a significant reduction in maintenance and upkeep costs.

The sand trap channels can be installed in single or double rows around the long jump facility, depending on the required overall width, but not in the run-up area. Together with the Aco Elastic edge stones, the installation is 6 cm wide, serving as a boundary for the pit. This increases the outer dimension of the sand pit by 12 cm. To compensate for the resulting offset, leveling pieces with a length of 56 cm are included in the delivery. For further details, please refer to the respective installation instructions.
