The history of the via ferrata in the Dolomites goes back a long way: many of today's renovated routes were established during World War I as supply paths. The Dolomites not only boast countless spectacular via ferratas but also allow climbing enthusiasts to dive deep into history.

To conquer these iron paths, we have designed the Ergo Zip via ferrata set, which stands for ideal handling and freedom of movement. The innovative rolling mechanism continuously adapts to your movements and keeps the static load arms at an optimal length, allowing for close handling and ideal clipping and unclipping of the carabiners. Additionally, the rolling mechanism eliminates dangerous loops that could cause entanglement, which is particularly important in walking terrain for safety.

The ergonomic Ergotec 3.0 carabiners fit well in the hand and are easy to operate even with gloves. Thanks to the extra-large opening, the carabiners can be quickly and securely clipped onto and unclipped from the cable without the risk of pinching your fingers between the cable and the snap. An accidental opening is prevented by the automatic carabiner locking mechanism. And if you need a short break, you can easily clip into the via ferrata using the integrated safety loop on the fall arrester. The via ferrata set is attached to the harness using our new, patented, and elastic attachment loop.
