The cooker can be used with all screw-in cartridges, e.g. Optimus, MSR, topgas, etc. The gas mixture does not matter for the cooker.
The gas mixture does not matter for the cooker, most cartridges contain a mixture of butane and propane. For use in very cold conditions (winter) there are mixtures of isobutane and propane, which are supposed to be better. I have had no experience with these.
