This reed straw set contains approximately 1000 reed straws, each about 9 cm long, which can be used as natural filling material for insect hotels. The reed tubes come in different diameters, allowing many different species of wild bees and solitary bees to find a suitable nesting cavity. The cleanly cut reed straws are ideal as brood chambers, as they have similar properties to naturally occurring dead wood and plant stems. If the bee house is placed correctly, it is only a matter of time before nesting success becomes visible through the sealed brood tubes. The package also includes the flowering plant mix "Bee Feast" for an area of about 5 m². The seed mixture contains many different annual flowering plants that serve as a food source for wild bees. This provides these beneficial creatures with a welcome alternative to the increasingly rare flowering meadows.
