You can further customize the tapered wooden handles to your needs with sandpaper.

Then simply slide them into the hollow tubes, and you're done! You can gently tap them in with a rubber mallet if necessary. If you moisten the wooden handles, they will swell and fit even more securely.

The sturdy handles are quite weather-resistant and long-lasting.

Regularly oiling them will extend the lifespan of wood used outdoors.
