XT batteries can be time-restricted in operation using the timer adapter. This makes the battery less attractive to thieves. The included Sync-Lock stickers also have a deterrent effect and further enhance this effect. Installed button cell: CR2450. With the battery timer BPS01, 14.4 V and 18 V LXT batteries can be programmed to operate only within a specific time frame or date. The batteries cannot be used or charged outside the programmed time window. The following settings can be made with the timer adapter: • Days of the week and hours per day • Hour-based • Date-based. The battery adapter timer is only compatible with 14.4 V and 18 V batteries that have a charge indicator. These batteries can be identified by the "B" at the end of the model number, for example, BL1850B. It works in combination with an app on NFC-enabled mobile devices and Android 4.2 or higher, or laptops/PCs with a USB connection and Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 - software CD with version 1.0 included. (Not compatible with Apple's iOS and MacOS).
