A first aid kit is mandatory in every car according to the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). The contents of a car first aid kit are regulated by the DIN 13164 standard. This standard was significantly amended in 2022: in the future, drivers will also be required to carry two medical face masks.
