Starting dimension: Distance from the entry level to the first rung 100 – 400 mm; the top rung must be flush with the entry level. The gap measurements between the ladder system and the railing must not exceed 120 mm. The activation mechanism for the emergency descent ladder is via a foot-operated lever or safety barrier.
