The Bundeswehr folding spade made of sturdy carbon steel can be flexibly used as a shovel, spade, or hoe (3-in-1). The shovel blade features a smooth side as well as a ribbed side. A tread edge, the thread for locking the handle, and the ergonomically shaped grip make handling practical. The folding spade is suitable for camping, outdoor activities, survival, or mountaineering.

In working position, the folding spade is 58 cm long. When folded, its dimensions are only 25 x 17 x 6 cm. For mobile use, the folding spade is transported in a plastic box with a belt loop that can be attached to a belt or trekking backpack. Air holes on the outside of the plastic box ensure that the damp spade blade dries well. The transport box is closed with two snap buttons.
