3 false alarms - unusable
I have owned this ABUS smoke detector GRWM30600 for eight months. It was installed in the bedroom on the ceiling as recommended. During this time, there were three false alarms that went off for no apparent reason. Fortunately, the alarm could be switched off immediately in each case. It's hard to imagine what would have happened if the alarm had been triggered during an absence (e.g. holiday)...
For me, such an unreliable smoke detector is useless. Too bad, now the thing will be disposed of.

Absolute junk. Hands off!!
The thing should work for 10 years. We have mounted two of them. Shortly after the warranty expired, it started whistling, both the same, by the way. For no reason, neither cleaning (vacuuming, blowing out), nor switching off and on helps. That's all you can do. So it's a case for the rubbish, after only 5 months of operation!

False alarms at night
Location absolutely not dusty or unsuitable. After a few months after inst of two devices, one suddenly had false alarms several nights.
Replaced this device a month ago, now again false alarms in the middle of the night.
Extremely troublesome when this thing goes off at half past 2 in the night, all the kids are awake and you are asked about it by the neighbours the next day. Therefore never again Abus.Pro

Super simple and good
I am very satisfied with the smoke detectors.
I bought them together with the adhesive mounting kit.
Only one button. Uncomplicated.
False alarm just press it and silence is (if it would ever come to that).
If you remove the base it is also switched off then.
The simplest smoke detector I know and so nice and small :D
Important note: Every 40 seconds the detector flashes red to show that it is working. I like it. Others would be disturbed drann. Battery is installed and can not be changed. It is designed for 10 years. I like it that way.Pro
