The SunSun CHJ-1500-10 pond pump is a highly efficient pump with a flow rate of 1500 l/h at only 25 W – excellent output per watt.

In comparison to the power consumption of the CHJ pond pump series, it is evident that the trend towards energy saving has been well recognized and implemented. Pond pumps are designed for continuous operation.

Filter pump / Pond pump:
Experience the advantages of these pond pumps. Depending on the flow rate, they are particularly suitable for large or small ponds. To prevent overflow of the filter in conjunction with these powerful pumps, we recommend using a Y-adapter. When used as a bypass, the performance can be divided between another UVC pond clarifier or filter.

SunSun has incorporated an inflow regulation in the pump design: You can adjust the inflow to the pond pump continuously.

Other strengths of the CHJ pond pump series include very quiet motors and suitability for both freshwater and saltwater.

The pump's flow rate must be matched to the size of the filter. An excessively high flow rate can lead to filter overflow, which should be avoided. The circulation cycle of the pond and the residence time of the water in the filter should also be considered.

The optimal circulation cycle depends on various factors, such as fish stock, aquatic plants, and desired water clarity. Of course, any additional components of the filtration system must also be coordinated accordingly.

Cleaning:
To ensure the proper functioning of the pumps, it is necessary to clean them regularly. SunSun has designed the housing so that a handle makes it easier to pull the pump out of the water, and the housing can be opened without tools – no screws required.
