The water surface is one of the most important parameters for a biologically functioning pond, as this is where gas exchange between water and air occurs (membrane layer for oxygen-CO₂ exchange).

The CSP-250 surface skimmer cleans the water surface of bothersome leaves, twigs, and other debris.

The skimmer pump sucks up a thin film of water, creating a current towards the installed surface skimmer. It keeps the water surface completely clean for pond areas of up to approximately 40 m². Larger particles such as leaves or grass are caught by the skimmer net and must be removed regularly to maintain the skimmer's full performance. This ensures that the water surface is always clean, reducing nutrient load and algae growth.

Three float bodies keep the suction basket precisely at the water surface, compensating for fluctuations in the pond's water level, such as those caused by evaporation.
