The water surface is one of the most important parameters for a biologically functioning pond, as this is where the gas exchange between water and air takes place. (Membrane layer for oxygen / CO₂ exchange). The floating skimmer floats directly on the water surface, the optimum position is ensured by an air cushion.

The CSP-250 floating skimmer cleans the water surface of unwanted leaves, branches and other dirt.

A thin film of water is sucked up by the skimmer pump, creating a current in the direction of the installed floating skimmer. It keeps the water surface completely clean up to a pond surface area of approx. 40 m². Coarse particles such as leaves or grass are caught by the skimmer screen and must be removed regularly so as not to impair the full performance of the skimmer. As a result, the water surface is always clean and the nutrient load and algae formation is reduced.

Three floats keep the suction basket exactly on the water surface and thus compensate for fluctuations in the water level of the pond, e.g. due to evaporation.
