At the same time, the stainless steel housing ensures that the UV light is reflected. Light that has not been directly absorbed is mirrored back into the pond water and can act again there. This more than doubles the contact time of the water to be clarified with the UVC radiation and its intensity. The entire body of the UV device is made of stainless steel, with only the connections and technical parts made of high-quality plastic, making the device very stable. The stainless steel used is polished in such a way that dirt hardly settles and the reflection is not impaired. The UVC pond clarifier usually ensures clear pond water within 14 days, provided you combine the UVC pond clarifier with a biological pond filter. UVC pond clarifiers irradiate the pond water with UV-C radiation in a flow reactor. UVC pond clarifiers alter the tertiary and quaternary structures of the algae proteins through their UV radiation. This means the algae are killed. The algae clump together into larger particles and can be easily removed from the water cycle through mechanical pond filtration.

The lifespan of the UVC light source is between 700 and 10,000 operating hours.
