Margarete Petersen experienced and worked with the Tarot cards in her own artistic way from 1979 to 2001. Her Margarete Petersen Tarot was published in 2001. Since 2012, she has resided in Wendland in Lichtenberg, where she, along with Dietmar Buchmann, founded the Atelierhaus Lichtenberg, a cultural workshop that hosts exhibitions, film screenings, and readings.
