Product details

Since Sauron came to Dol Guldur, the surrounding Greenwood became a place of fear and darkness. Corrupted by the influence of the Necromancer, it became known by its new name, Mirkwood. However, the shadow that had fallen over the forest did not go unnoticed by the Wise. To keep his return to Middle-earth a secret, Sauron fled east, and his influence over the forest faded in the following years as Dol Guldur fell into ruin.

This terrain set includes a selection of plastic ruin sections that represent the crumbling fortress of Dol Guldur – the Hill of Sorcery – in the southern reaches of Mirkwood.

This kit contains a statue, a staircase, a metal gate, a dead tree, and vines, as well as skulls and bony remains. The ruins of Dol Guldur are fully modular, allowing them to be constructed in various ways, enabling you to create your own unique piece of terrain. If you want even more variation or wish to build a larger terrain piece, you can combine multiple sets of the ruins of Dol Guldur.

This terrain piece consists of 136 parts. The terrain is unpainted and needs to be assembled – we recommend using Citadel plastic glue and Citadel paints.
