Fitting: To measure the head circumference correctly, place the measuring tape snugly, but not too tightly, around the head - across the forehead and around the widest point at the back. Bring the measuring tape together at the temples and read the value there.

Fit: If the cylinder does not fit perfectly, cork or fabric strips can be inserted into the foldable hat leather at the edge to ensure a custom fit.

Care: Store dry and protected from dust. We recommend storing the cylinder in the open position to relieve the folding mechanism, ensuring it remains fully functional for many years. The collapsible cylinder was developed in the 19th century to simplify the storage of this valuable but bulky accessory for the gentleman of the world. With a single motion – or rather, a press of the hand – the cylinder can be collapsed and opens with the characteristic click as soon as the brim is struck.
