Mah Jongg is a very old Chinese board game for four players. It is said that Mah Jongg was played as far back as 4000 years ago, but only by kings and high Chinese castes. Through numerous political upheavals, this gambling game eventually became popular among the general public over the years. In the 1920s, Mah Jongg was the number one trendy game. Whether in Europe or America, there was a real Mah Jongg boom. And just as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared again around 1930. Since then, it has only been played by a limited number of enthusiasts. In terms of gameplay, Mah Jongg is similar in character to Rummy and Canasta.
