Product details
On July 16, 1969, at 9:32 AM, the gigantic Saturn V rocket launched from Cape Canaveral, marking the most significant journey in human history. The massive Saturn V consisted of three main stages, stood 110 meters tall, and weighed 3,000 tons. It could carry a payload of 50 tons and reached a speed of 11.2 kilometers per second. The 394,000-kilometer journey to the Moon took 72 hours. After reaching a low Earth orbit, the upper stage with the Apollo capsule received the thrust from the third stage of the launch vehicle to achieve the flight speed to the Moon. Later, the Apollo module detached from the rocket, rotated, and deployed the lunar lander from its protective shroud. This coupled unit then traveled to the Moon and entered lunar orbit. After several orbits around the Moon, the lunar lander, with astronauts N. Armstrong and E. Aldrin on board, separated from the command capsule, where only astronaut M. Collins remained. The lunar lander initiated its descent to the Sea of Tranquility with two ignitions of the retro rocket. This historic event will remain unforgettable for eternity.
The Saturn V model stands 77 cm tall and includes a launch pad, a final stage with five detailed thrust nozzles, a structured outer shell, a second rocket stage with five nozzles, an interstage with control engines, a third rocket stage with a thrust nozzle, a detailed lunar lander with a movable protective cover, a service module with a thrust nozzle and control nozzles, as well as a command capsule. At the top, there is a launch escape system. Additionally, three figures are included to equip the launch pad, along with detailed decals.
