Product Name: 1:35 Brit. BSA M20 Motorcycle/Dispatch Rider
The Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA) has a long history as a firearms manufacturer and was well-known for its production of motorcycles during World War II. In 1939, BSA began constructing the military variant of the M20. This commercial motorcycle was equipped with Lucas lighting and additional equipment. It was powered by a 12 HP side-valve single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 500 cm³. Throughout production, various modifications were made – for instance, the last motorcycles featured an air filter on the fuel tank. Over 126,000 units were built during the war, the majority of which were used by the British Army. They served on every front for a variety of tasks, such as postal delivery and supply escort. Some of the motorcycles were also used by the RAF and the British Navy. After the war, the M20 continued to serve during the 1950s, with some even being used in the 1960s.
