Bionano Blood Sugar Test Strips for Self-Testing.

The Bionano Blood Sugar Test Strips are designed for use only with the Bionano Blood Sugar Meter. This measurement system is intended for the quantitative detection of glucose using fresh capillary blood from the fingertip or an alternative blood sampling site (thumb pad). This blood sugar measurement system is suitable for in vitro diagnostics (outside the body) for patient self-testing at home. It should not be used for diagnosing diabetes mellitus and is not suitable for use in newborns.

Storage and Handling:
Check the expiration date printed on the test strip container. Do not use test strips after the expiration date. Test strips should not be used more than three months after the container has been opened. Protect the test strips from sunlight. Store your test strips at 8 - 30 °C. Use each test strip immediately after removing it from the container. After removing a test strip from the container, promptly close it again carefully with the original cap.

Test Principle:
The test is based on measuring the electric current generated by the reaction of glucose with the reagents on the test strip. The device measures this current and displays the corresponding blood sugar concentration on the screen. The amount of current generated by the reaction depends on the level of blood sugar concentration in the blood sample.
