No fluoride, too little fluoride, a controversial dye: many children's toothpastes in the test are not well composed. Toothpaste for milk teeth must reliably protect against caries. For this, it needs fluoride. The toothpastes should also not contain titanium dioxide: This controversial dye is unnecessary...

The result: almost every second toothpaste tested fails: We rate a whole 199 products as "poor" or "unsatisfactory". "Satisfactory" or "sufficient" are 58 toothpastes. They have minor defects. We can at least recommend a good third of all toothpastes: 116 products were rated as "very good" and 27 as "good"...
