Granudacyn
Rinsing solution and gel for cleaning, moistening, and rinsing

Granudacyn is a rinsing solution for cleaning and moistening acute, chronic, and contaminated wounds as well as first and second-degree burns. The included hypochlorous acid ensures safe preservation, making Granudacyn a reliable wound rinsing solution.

Granudacyn can be used for careful cleaning, moistening, and rinsing of the following wounds:

  • All chronic wounds of any depth, such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores, venous leg ulcers, etc.
  • All acute wounds, such as cuts, bites, lacerations, abrasions, and scrapes.
  • Surgical wounds (intraoperative and postoperative).
  • Wounds with exposed cartilage, tendons, ligaments, or bones.
  • Burns up to second degree.
  • Radiation ulcers.
  • Fistulas and abscesses.
  • Body cavities such as the ear, nose, mouth, throat, and pharynx.
  • Critically colonized or infected wounds.
  • Soft tissue injuries.

Granudacyn can also be used to moisten wound dressings and to dissolve wound bandages and dressings.

Granudacyn is suitable for multi-patient use for up to 90 days (gel) and 60 days (solution) after opening. To ensure safe use after opening, Granudacyn contains a preservative that occurs naturally in the body: hypochlorous acid. The hypochlorous acid also prevents the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including MRSA, ORSA, VRSA, VRE, viruses, fungi, and spores in the solution.

  • Mechanically cleans the wound.
  • Germ-free and pH-neutral.
  • Non-cytotoxic or irritating, free of heavy metals.
  • Hypotonic to promote osmolysis and cell regeneration.
  • Reduces wound odor.
