Diabetes is one of the chronic diseases that paves the way for many unwanted illnesses. It is our duty to always keep an eye on our blood sugar levels. In recent days, many invasive methods for measuring blood sugar have been used. These invasive methods are not pleasant. They involve pricking the finger for blood and using test strips, which is not cost-effective. The goal of this project is to develop a non-invasive glucose meter with a simple design and low cost. This glucose meter is equipped with an IR LED and a phototransistor to measure glucose levels through light intensity. The output is forwarded to the Arduino (AT mega 328) MCU. The voltage value is calibrated to obtain the blood sugar level as output. The intensity to be measured is a low voltage, which is then amplified. The amplified voltage is fed into a filter circuit and passed on to the microcontroller. The blood sugar level is displayed on an LCD screen. Accuracy is enhanced through machine learning with MATLAB.
