I always heat a coffee spoon with a lighter, then let it cool down a bit and treat the stitches that way. I've been doing this since I was a child, 40 years ago. It works perfectly.

Does this device work with batteries (which ones?) or on battery and can it be recharged?

I have purchased this prodcut via Galaxus and I am satisficed. However, I noticed that Galaxus only offers 3 years warranty whille Beurer offers 5 years warranty (according to the product package). Could you please advise the reason? Thanks.

Does the appliance have a transport lock? So that no heat can develop when the button is pressed if the transport lock is set.
