Motorola Moto G17
128 GB, Pantone Evening Blue, 6.72", Dual SIM, 4G

Cheap everyday mobile phone or upscale equipment: Motorola covers different requirements with two current models.
Are you looking for a new smartphone but don't want to spend too much money? Motorola offers an affordable entry-level model with the Moto G17. The Edge 70 Fusion positions itself one class higher and comes with correspondingly more features.
If you mainly surf on your phone, watch videos and occasionally take photos, you don't have to spend a lot of money. The Moto G17 has a 6.72-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The 50-megapixel main camera films in Full HD at 30 FPS. It is flanked by a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32 MP selfie camera.
With the variant with four gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal storage, you have the choice between dark purple and light blue.

You can expand the internal storage space by up to one terabyte with a MicroSD card. There is also a 3.5-millimeter jack and USB-C. You can connect wireless accessories via Bluetooth 5.4. The smartphone supports Dolby Atmos and has stereo speakers. According to Motorola, the 5200 mAh battery provides up to 55 hours of runtime.
You have to make compromises especially in the processor. The simple Mediatek chip «Helio G81 Extreme» quickly reaches its limits with several simultaneously running or more demanding applications. With the network standard, you have to make do with 4G. Instead of full IP68 water and dust protection, the Moto G17 only offers IP64 and is therefore splash-proof.
Android 15 is pre-installed as the operating system. Motorola does not guarantee an update to newer Android versions.
If you're looking for more performance and features, the Edge 70 Fusion is a better choice. The processor, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, ensures fast multitasking and smooth gaming.
The difference between the devices is also evident in the 6.78-inch screen with rounded edges. The Edge 70 Fusion has an AMOLED display with up to 144 Hz refresh rate and 2772 × 1272 pixel resolution. It displays colors rich and movements smoothly. Pantone validation is also intended to ensure that color representation is as close to reality as possible. The device supports the 5G wireless standard as well as Bluetooth 6.0 and is IP68 water and dust resistant.
The device is available in purple and black. Both variants have eight gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal storage.
The main camera with 50 megapixels uses a higher-quality sensor and can record videos at 30 FPS in 4K. In Full HD, up to 120 frames per second are possible, which allows slow-motion recordings. In addition, an optical image stabilizer is on board. Motorola does not have a memory card slot and a jack connection in the Edge 70 Fusion.
The 5200 mAh battery can be charged quickly with up to 68 watts. According to the manufacturer, it lasts for up to 39 hours of runtime.
In addition to smartphones from the cheap and mid-range price range, Motorola has also been offering an upper-class device since this year. You can find the Motorola Signature here.
