My fantastic blind buy: Vitamin C Booster from Arencia
No social media hype, no recommendation, just pure chance made me pick up this item. I stumbled across this vitamin C serum when I was scrolling through our range. What a lucky find!
A solid vitamin C serum like this one really makes a difference for your skin. And for your mood. After all, it’s the first thing I put on my face in the morning after cleansing. I swear by the Vitamin C Booster Shot from Korean brand Arencia at the moment. I’m in love with the great results after just three weeks. I’m genuinely surprised.
The Booster Shot formula contains:
- Two types of vitamin C: L-ascorbic acid (pure vitamin C) and a stable derivative (5 per cent) – the complex is designed to visibly even out skin tone and give the skin a radiant glow.
- Niacinamide: Helps smooth the skin’s texture.
- Glutathione and Vitamin E: Antioxidants that are said to protect the skin from oxidative stress.
- Panthenol and Allantoin: Help soothe the skin and protect it from moisture loss.
- Perfume free: Its natural scent is very pleasant.

According to the manufacturer, the product isn’t tested on animals and free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and mineral oils.
Arencia recommends that first-time users of vitamin C start by only applying the product every other day to allow the skin to get used to it. As a long-time fan of this antioxidant, I’ve been using it every day so far. The product is suitable for all skin types.
My experiences
Packaging
It’s pretty rare to find a serum that comes in a tube. I love it because there’s no fiddling around with a dropper bottle and much less air gets into the product. Instead, you have a lightweight, slim format that’s a great size for your toiletry bag. I’m awarding it extra points for its elongated dispenser tip, which makes application easier, and also for its vibrant, metallic green colour.
Texture and care
Moisturiser and serum in one? The combo really shows. This serum is so nourishing I could technically skip moisturising afterwards. But I don’t, because sunscreen is a must for me. I’ve fallen in love with the milky-yellow gel texture. It’s light but not runny, and blends in quickly. It’s also made the area around my eyes, in particular, feel plump This face and eye moisturiser leaves my skin feeling slightly sticky, which is perfect to apply make-up.

Effects
After using up my last vitamin C serum, I accidentally took a little break. On my quest to try out something new, I kept putting off deciding on a product. The advantage? Comparing the before and after is easier because of it.
The most significant differences I noticed were in the evenness of my skin’s tone and texture. Areas that were rough now feel smooth, and my complexion looks noticeably less sallow. In short: my skin’s supple and glowing.
It might just be my imagination, but I could swear that even the pigment mark on my cheek looks lighter, even though that seems pretty unlikely after such a short time.
The product also claims to minimise the appearance of pores – though I haven’t noticed any changes in that regard.
The product was provided to me by Galaxus for testing purposes.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
