Now available from us: gaming PCs from the Austrian brand Greed
Whether you’re just starting out or looking for high-end gaming: we offer a range of configurations featuring AMD and Intel processors and graphics cards.
You can now order gaming PCs from the up-and-coming brand Greed from us. The team has been designing and assembling complete PCs in Austria since 2023. They focus on handcrafted production and local support, which, according to the company, is available round the clock – even at weekends.
We stock two ranges: the Mk2 computers are designed for entry-level users. This series is for you if you’re playing games on a Full HD monitor. Mk5 is the high-end series for demanding gamers. Both product ranges are available with a choice of AMD or Intel processors.
In this article, I’ll introduce you to a few of the computers. With one exception on the AMD side, the computers are equipped with Nvidia graphics cards from the current RTX 50 series.
Mk2 series for entry-level gaming
For the AMD computers, Greed relies on the mid-range CPU «Ryzen 7 5700X». With eight cores and 16 threads, it offers solid performance. The Intel PCs use the «Core i7 12700F» with twelve cores and 20 threads. This is noticeably faster in many games – for example, in «Cyberpunk 2077», with a performance boost of 20 to 25 per cent.
Mk2 with an AMD processor
Apart from the processor, the main difference between the computers lies in the graphics card. Whilst the standard models feature a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and the Pro models (GeForce RTX 5070) rely on Nvidia, the «Mk2 AMD Plus» stands out as the only PC in the range with its Radeon graphics card. The Radeon RX 9060 XT is comparable to the RTX 5060 Ti, but with 16 gigabytes of graphics memory, it offers twice as much as the Nvidia model.
Both cards are classified as mid-range. The RTX 5070 in the Pro models offers high-end graphics with 12 gigabytes of RAM.
Mk2 with Intel processor
The Mk2 computers offer 1 terabyte of NVMe SSD storage and 32 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM with a clock speed of 3200 megahertz.
In the Pro version, an AiO water-cooling system from Alpenföhn ensures that the CPU does not overheat. The other computers use a traditional combination of heat sink and fan for this purpose. To expel hot air from the case as quickly as possible, it is also fitted with four 120-millimetre fans with RGB lighting.
Mk5 series for high-end gaming
The differences between these two devices lie in their basic specifications. The AMD computer, featuring an «Ryzen 7 7800X3D», is clearly more powerful than the Intel alternative, which, like the Mk2 models, runs on the «Core i7 12700F».
The «Ryzen 7 7800X3D» is a high-end gaming CPU designed specifically for high FPS. This is ensured in particular by the large 96-megabyte Level 3 cache, which means the processor needs to offload less data to the RAM. This results in lower latencies. The «Core i7 12700F» has only 25 megabytes of Level-3 cache.
Mk5 Pro with AMD processor
When it comes to graphics, too, the AMD Mk5 computer is in a league of its own: although the Intel computer’s RTX 5070 ranks in the upper performance segment, the AMD computer’s RTX 5080 takes it a step further.
Both Mk5 computers are equipped with 32 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM running at a clock speed of 5600 megahertz and utilise an MSI water-cooling system. With two terabytes, the AMD model has twice as much storage space as the Intel device.
Mk5 Standard with Intel processor
Both Mk5 devices are equipped with an 80+ Gold power supply from MSI. The power supply in the Intel computer delivers up to 750 watts, whilst the Mk5 Pro has a reserve capacity of up to 1000 watts.
Feels just as much at home in front of the gaming PC as in the hammock in the garden. Likes the Roman Empire, container ships and science fiction books, among other things. Especially tracks down news from the IT sector and smart things.
