Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra for Business
15", 1000 GB, 64 GB, DE, NVIDIA RTX Spark N1X 20-core

Thanks to new processor technology, the 15-inch laptop is set to deliver real power. It is available from us in various configurations.
Do laptops lag behind workstations in terms of performance? Not necessarily. If you are looking for a portable computer with powerful hardware, the new Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra for Business might be of interest to you. This is the most powerful device in the Surface lineup. Instead of an Intel, AMD, or Qualcomm processor, it runs on the Nvidia RTX Spark chip. This is a new platform designed to combine a high-performance Windows workstation with the mobility of a 15-inch laptop.
The aluminum-cased Surface Laptop Ultra for Business is available in silver and dark gray. For the internals, you can choose between variants with an 18- or 20-core CPU. RAM options include 24, 32, 64, and 128 gigabytes, while SSD storage options are 512, 1000, or 2000 gigabytes.
Unfortunately, not all configurations are currently in stock. Our purchasing department is working with the manufacturer to restock the missing variants as quickly as possible. Below you can see the devices that are immediately available; all others can be found here.
The chip combines a Grace CPU based on ARM technology with the latest Blackwell GPU architecture, which also powers the GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards. Additionally, AI accelerators are integrated to run local AI applications faster. According to Microsoft and Nvidia, the RTX Spark N1X achieves an AI computing performance of up to one petaflop (FP4).
A special feature of the processor is the shared memory («Unified Memory»). Instead of relying on separate memory for the processor and the GPU, both share the available memory. According to the manufacturer, this simplifies data exchange between the CPU and GPU to accelerate AI applications, 3D rendering, and video editing. Up to 128 gigabytes of Unified Memory are possible.
To prevent the computer from overheating, Microsoft has redesigned the cooling system. The larger fans are designed to move more air at lower speeds and be quieter. According to the manufacturer, the fans deliver 2.5 times the cooling performance of the current 15-inch Surface Laptop (8th Edition).
My colleague Martin provides further details in his news article.
The anti-reflective 15-inch touch display offers 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage as well as support for Dolby Vision IQ. This is intended to allow creatives to work with the most realistic colors possible. It reaches a brightness of up to 2000 nits. The resolution is 3270 × 2180 pixels. The refresh rate reaches up to 120 Hertz, which makes fast-paced games appear smoother.
You charge the laptop via a USB-C cable. It offers the following connection options:
An SD card reader is also on board. You can connect the laptop wirelessly via Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Given the high price of the device, you naturally want to use it for a long time. Microsoft states that it has taken long-term use into account in the design: accordingly, components inside the casing are labeled, and there are repair manuals and spare parts available for the device.
The laptop is about 19 millimeters thick and weighs about 2 kilograms. According to Microsoft, the battery offers at least 89 watt-hours of capacity and should be sufficient for up to 15 hours of local video playback.
Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed. The device is protected by TPM 2.0 and Bitlocker, among other features.
