Pixel Buds A-Series: Google deletes announcement tweet

The Google Pixel Buds A-Series isn’t only supposed to be wireless, but also low-priced. And they were supposed to be a secret, too. But then Google had a mishap.
The tweet from the official Android account @Android was live for about ten minutes before it was deleted by a social media manager. In those ten minutes, however, we learned very little about the Pixel Buds A-Series, according to 9to5Google.

Venturing into the lower price range?
The letter «A» has a meaning. The Google Pixel 4a smartphone is based on the same technology as the Google Pixel 4. But it costs significantly less. From this, as observers of the company conclude, the A-series Pixel Buds are also said to offer a lot of performance for little money.
It’s a fact that the headphones deliver «quality sound» and Bluetooth Quick Pairing is supported. In a marketing e-mail from early April, Google showed a green hue. It’s far darker than Google's «Quite Mint» colour, a minty green.

The green looks more like the shade «Sorta Sage», a kind of grey-green. Or the green of the iPhone in «Midnight Green». Besides the colours, however, little is known about the functionality of the Pixel Buds A-Series. Fans expect them to feature touch interfaces and access to Google Assistant.
Were the Buds supposed to be announced in early May?
No market launch date is known yet, neither in Switzerland nor elsewhere. The fact that the tweet was made public might indicate a tweet that was published automatically. After all, the name «Sprinklr», a social media scheduling software, can be seen under the screenshot.
This suggests that Google had once planned to announce the Pixel Buds today, but pushed the date back for unknown reasons. The actual release date is still unknown, but the Google I/O meeting on 18 May 2021 is said to be the new date.
