Razer unveils Pikachu earbuds with Pokéball charging case

The new bright yellow true wireless headphones by Razer come in a little Pokéball. Sadly, they’ll probably only be available in China.
Listen up Pokémon fans: Razer has partnered with the Pokémon Company and launched new earbuds. They're coated in yellow, feature a small Pikachu on the side and come in a Pokéball charging case.
The Pokémon earbuds are actually familiar: they're a special edition of the Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds that have been around for a while.
But Razer hasn't just change the colour and shape of the case: the Hammerhead voice prompts have been replaced by Pikachu's voice.
What's more, the charging connectors are magnetic, which keeps the Pokémon in the ball. However, to catch the Pokémon earbuds, you shouldn't throw the Pokéball at them – that's what Razer writes on their Chinese website. Having the headphones compete against each other in a sports competition isn't likely to be a good idea either.
The ball lights up at the front and gives the Pokémon up to five charges. The Hammerheads aka Pokémon earbuds have a shorter battery life than competitors: the Pikachu only plays music for about three hours. But the reason you're going to buy the earbuds is their charging case: who doesn't want to own a small Pokéball with Pokémon in it?
The headphones will only be available on the Chinese market from 16 April 2020. Who knows, our category management might be persuaded to try and import the headphones and allow us to listen to music with little Pikachus in our ears.
