Netflix is forcing a series finale, space Brad Pitt is trying to save humanity and Keanu Reeves features in the new «Cyberpunk 2077» trailer.
After Netflix universally cancelled all their series' starring Marvel superheroes, it left many open-ended stories. Thankfully, «Jessica Jones»'s third season will give us at least one conclusion worth hoping for. «47 Meters Down: Uncaged» is probably about zombie sharks – an unusual but promising combination – while Brad Pitt's astronaut drama «Ad Astra» finally got an official trailer. After that, Guillermo del Toro teaches us what true fear is and Keanu Reeves himself graces our games in the upcoming «Cyberpunk 2077».
Jessica Jones is grinding to a necessary halt: season 3 will be its last. This is due to the rights to Marvel characters going back to the big mouse, who will launch the «Disney Plus» streaming platform in the fall of this year and is pursuing its own plans with its superheroes. Shame. Of all the Marvel-based Netflix series, I always liked «Jessica Jones» the best.
Start date: 14/6/2019, Netflix
Aaaaaalrighty then. Primordial zombie sharks living in deserted Mayan ruins. Under water. I think that's what we're seeing here, more or less. After watching this trailer, I made the surprise realisation: yeah, I could get into that. With Popcorn. A lot of popcorn. Naturally.

Disney's infamous 71.8 billion dollar 20th Century Fox purchase required some definite restructuring around release dates. One of the movies affected was «Ad Astra». The film should have been released in May. At least we get to see the first trailer now. It looks good. Really. A bit like if «Interstellar» tried to be a bit more like «Armageddon», Liv Tyler included. That could work.
Release date in Swiss cinemas: 19/9/2019
America, 1968. In the small town of Mill Valley stands the former estate of the once wealthy Bellows family. There a young girl once documented her tortured life – a series of frightening stories –in a book that a group of teenagers would find years later. Stories that suddenly become all too real. Jep, the books penned by Alvin Schwartz on which the film by producer Guillermo del Toro is based, are only available in English. But these horribly terrifying stories beat the here well-known «Goosebumps» series any day.
Release date in Swiss cinemas: 24/10/2019
«Cyberpunk 2077» isn't a movie, but Keanu Reeves is still in it. Everything's better with Keanu Reeves. And hey, the trailer is incredibly cinematically produced. That deserves all the attention it can get. Besides, Keanu Reeves.

I'm an outdoorsy guy and enjoy sports that push me to the limit – now that’s what I call comfort zone! But I'm also about curling up in an armchair with books about ugly intrigue and sinister kingkillers. Being an avid cinema-goer, I’ve been known to rave about film scores for hours on end. I’ve always wanted to say: «I am Groot.»
