Which products does Galaxus offer?
Frank Hasselmann: For starters, we’ve got a range of products in the sectors IT, consumer electronics and telecommunications. We’re launching the shop with about 50,000 products. More categories will follow step by step. We’re aiming for a full range equivalent to what we offer in Switzerland.
What is Galaxus’ price policy?
It will be similar to our Swiss shop. In other words, on par with relevant competitors. However, as we purchase our range from merchants and manufacturers in Germany, there will be price differences compared to our Swiss shops.
Will Galaxus have a warehouse in Germany?
Yes, we ship our products from our warehouse in Krefeld. Krefeld is a perfect location for us. From here, we can generally provide next-day delivery for online shoppers all over Germany.
What sets Galaxus in Germany apart from its competitors?
The current e-commerce situation in Germany doesn't satisfy everyone; consumers are looking for online shopping advice and get lost in a jungle of products. Galaxus bridges this gap: Our independent 20-member editorial team supplies background information on our product range in in-depth articles, product review and reports, represents a clear opinion and inspires users who are looking for products. On top of this, we provide our customers with clever product filters and comparison features. Moreover, we have an active community of users who have a great deal of expertise, which they are happy to share.
So you’re never alone when you shop with us. 70 per cent of all product-related questions asked in our online shops are answered by our Community within three hours. This amounts to an impressive 10,000 questions and answers each month. And that’s on a relatively small market. Not to forget our multilingualism: German-, English-, French- and Italian-speaking customers will feel at home at Galaxus. My goal is for us to evolve into Germany’s liveliest online department store.
