Ellie is a new evolution of the universal L-bracket that offers users increased compatibility with a wider range of cameras and enhanced features.

L-brackets are primarily used to switch from landscape to portrait orientation on a tripod while maintaining the focal plane and horizon.

The Ellie PD Short is specifically designed to work with Peak Design's Capture Clip system. It features a standardized Arca-Swiss compatible plate that securely locks into the Capture. The shorter 70 mm base plate is designed to allow access to the battery door of smaller DSLR and mirrorless cameras from Fujifilm, Olympus, and Canon.

Compatible with standardized Arca-Swiss clamps, Ellie offers two different screw mounting slots at the base. This allows users to position the L-bracket in the optimal position for their camera. The length of the base can be adjusted thanks to two rigid stainless steel glide rails, which can then be secured by the user with the included tool. The rear edge of the base is beveled to facilitate access to the screen. Ellie's vertical aspect has an opening on one side that allows users with L-shaped cable connectors to attach accessories. This opening can be positioned in one of four locations by reversing or rotating the vertical aspect.
