Adults, like children, cannot be confined to the status of being an adult or a child. Within every adult, there lives, more or less consciously, a child that one was allowed to be and a child that one was not allowed to be. In every child, there is also the anticipation of the adult one will eventually become, but also of the adult one will not become.
